And as promised...here they are. The leaf creates a nice resting place for your thumb and the vine wraps around to form the hanger of the utensil.... :)

They are generally sold as a set but I can ask Bill if he has just a ladle around or if he would break the set. :)
I love them! I wanted it less as a set to use and more as a decorative item and heirloom type utensil.

It would be perfect for my kitchen, these are the lighting fixtures I chose in my remodel. I have the island light, chandelier, pendant over the bar and entry light. They are in a dark oil rubbed bronze, so the utensil would fit right in. I love that it is hand made and not mass produced.

OMG, Deb, would you look at my new kitchen island light we had put in after the fire?????? Same exact one. I have a matching fixture over the sink.

I'm assuming it was a point and shoot camera in your pocket. You had to have been CLOSE!!! When I got back to the porch, they would have had to give me oxygen to calm my breathing and I would have had to change my wet pants.

I think that would have been my last trip outside during the dusk to dawn hours. At least without a large group of people/dogs with me.

Quote: OMG, that is too funny......................Lowe's, right? I have the island, the chandelier in the dining room, a pendant over the sink and one over the wet bar. The overhead in the entry hall & laundry room. Then I liked it so much, I put the four light wall fixture in the hallway bathroom to tie everything together. Now I need to redo the bathroom as the rest of the fixtures in there are brass, I just didn't want to have this fixture disappear when I was ready for it.

You would certainly know if the utensils will match the décor,

It was the only set of lights that DH and I could agree on.

And I had to add.....................my appliances are all black, other than the new range which is stainless/black. Apparently we have the same tastes in décor!

Can't quite tell on yours, my walls are green.

Haha, mine are sage green! See?? The entire half of the house is open and painted sage. The bedrooms and bath comprise the other half and are yellow, though they are not the shade I wanted, too sunshine yellow rather than gold yellow. Have too much outside to paint to worry about changing those right now.

Yup, Lowe's except the cabinets were custom made.

I went medium, but still an herb.....................mine are Oregano Spice, LOL And the color carries from the kitchen, to the dining room to the living room, all open.

The cabinets came from Home Depot, but I went with cherry. This was during the remodel, I'll have to look for a finished one.

The bottom two pictures were at Thanksgiving. The wall oven was already in (I went with three ovens - I like to cook

) and I had a hot plate on the counter, notice no running water yet in the kitchen? The dishes had to be done in the hallway bathroom sink.

Well, either great minds think alike, or you'd better be worried about yours, judging from the way mine has been of late.

I love cherry cabinets, but I have a wraparound 8' wide porch and live in the woods to boot, which makes the house dark, so couldn't go with a dark cabinet or darker paint. We just love wood, period. And green, in many shades, is my favorite color. Yours is lovely. I even have a black sink, that we love.

I love wood too. I did worry about dark, but my walls are nearly floor to ceiling glass for most of the house and no drapes. Country life.......no one outside to look in, LOL

And I just turned 60, what the heck, my mind is what it is, LOL

Did I mention I chose the black composite granite sink? LOL

Were we separated at birth??? Haha, that's a crazy coincidence! Since this is an insurance replacement deal thing, we are replacing what was there with similar things. The former sink was white enameled cast iron, 8" deep. I thought it was 9" so we had them get a Kohler cast iron enameled sink in black. LOVE that! A white one would not have worked in there. Had to have the same amount of cabinet space, total, so we made the island half the size and added a bank of drawers to make the kitchen a U instead of an L with a huge island you couldn't reach across.

I'm right behind you in age, but that whole house fire fiasco killed quite a few brain cells, lemme tell ya.

No one can see in our house, either. We did have them replace a single window with a double size one and replace a half glass door with a full glass with inside mini blinds, which did give more light facing the best view, but still, not a super light house. No drapes on my kitchen window and just mini blinds (I hate them, but they're cheap and easily replaced) everywhere else. Hate drapes, personally. Just dust catchers. And we have lots of that, heating with a wood stove exclusively.
