Stella's Social Club

Mary, hope you got some good rest last night.

Those little tins would make great soap molds, just the right size and nice shapes.

16 babies moved out of the spare bedroom yesterday into one of my small mobile coops with a heat lamp - checked them at midnight and they were all cozy. I saw one or two of the SFH's hopping out onto the grass a few times. One of the chicks is huge compared to the others, white, and has blue legs - I need to find out what the heck it is, wonder if she popped in an American Bresse in? SO glad they are out of the small bedroom, they were really starting to get dusty!

Oh, and my next to the last cream leg bar pullet died today. Sometimes a penthouse apartment with no animals and no upstairs neighbors makes the most sense. You can't get far enough out in the country to avoid the trash in this state.

Come on to Kentucky we will have you and your chickens and the crowing roosters! There is a nice piece of property for sale up the road a couple of miles and your neighbor would have roosters....one a son of my Lancelot and the other a son of Cyn's Isaac. And we have a fabulous hospital at the Univ of Kentucky about 25 miles away....they've been taking good care of me. :)

It's adorable!

My projects for last week: transportation parade for the Kindergartener and tiling/grouting the bath tub surround. She didn't care what we made as long as it had horses!

This was pre-grout. Grouted it today, will seal it on Wednesday, so hopefully by Saturday night we can have the plumbing fixtures installed and all have baths for church on Sunday!

Nice job on the tile and the horse Rinda! Very cute. I hat tile work. You did a good job and congrats on the baths!

LOL We won't skip baths completely- just have to take a short trip to grandma's house. THAT gets old after 2 weeks though!
