It was 3* this morning, still is, and we did get 3" of snow, which is quite crusty now. But, things are looking up, temp wise.

Hey, I sewed a tote bag! Never sewed anything except those super simple kitchen curtains I did this year and of course, piecing my quilts. How do you like this little gem? It's fully lined with a flat base.


One D'Anver is out, two more pipped of 14 eggs total. Today is Day 20.

How many of you are old enough to remember the real cloth feed bags? When I was small my Granny would let me pick out the sack I liked and she would make a dress from it. They were a very strong pretty patterned cotton. Oh! what we could do with all that cloth. I hated it when they switched to papery plastic stuff. The crafters of today do not know what they missed. Quilts were made from it too. The material was strong and pretty.
