Stella's Social Club

Cyn, that is sooo very nice of you to help her. I know what my hens mean to me. I would be heart broken to lose them too. If I were there I would donate a couple of Del chicks. My roo is really nice.

Thank you, Gloria Jean. She does love the Delawares. She is a sweet lady who takes very good care of her chickens so of course, she will have whatever she wants of the chicks I hatch here. When LH showed her pictures of the chicks to see which she wanted, she said, "You mean she's going to let me have them?". Such a dear. None will replace Valentino, of course. I can't imagine how I'd feel, not knowing what happened to him.

OMG broken bones, missing broodies, barn fires... So sorry to hear of all the troubles. Hope the ones that can, get resolved with happy endings.

I spent my day working on this. Oh, and doing laundry.

The missing hen has returned alone, oh well at least she is back.
Oh my goodness I wonder what happened. I'm so sorry. I hate when things like that happen. We lost a few mysteriously when my daughter was chicken sitting. They used to go through the fence down to the creek. We were limited on what kind of fence we could put in because it was a creek overflow and the water had to be able to pass through.

Maybe we'll have a better day here today with no more calamities.

Great stories, and I am praying things will turn to the best.
I found this shade at Wal-Mart online, it came yesterday and I just set it up. It is definitely helping control the temperature. I expect outrageous heat in the summer.
