We live with the Forrest all around us but we have yet to find a tick in the 10 years we have lived here...

Rinda - I've joined you in vet bills. I took my dog in for her annual checkup and to bring her vaccinations current. Easy, right? Yeah, until she tested positive for lyme disease. So now she's on a $100 antibiotic for a month.
Ugh. Apparently life is trying to one up me to you. I'm at the vet again having a cat euthanized. My kids are going to be heartbroken in the morning.
Rinda wish I could send more thanbut, none of the rabbits hopping around the neighborhood want to donate a foot.
Popping in to say that it seems always the same with chickens. They seem to hide illness so well. Don't beat yourself up, Rinda. At least he's not in pain any longer. Cats are so prone to urinary stuff, seems to me.Lol awe! Well thanks for the thought anyway! I'm home and still feel like a heel. Too many if only's running through my head. He had a blocked ureter so long and so bad he was immobilized. Ciukdnt even lift his head. The only way it could have been worse was if his bladder burst. Facing $7-800 in vet costs as the minimum we had to choose euthanasia. I'm so mad at myself that I had to do what my head said and not my heart. The really sad thing was I had no idea anything was wrong until about 10 this morning.
. Life better stop taking pot shots at you soon. RIP Kitty.
