We made it back this morning from our little vacation, had a wonderful time and the weather mostly cooperated.

Quote: Yes, we have wonderful neighbors all around with an endless supply of kids willing to help out.
Oh, no. I hope she has a speedy recovery. We've been vaccinating for lyme disease the last couple of years.Rinda - I've joined you in vet bills. I took my dog in for her annual checkup and to bring her vaccinations current. Easy, right? Yeah, until she tested positive for lyme disease. So now she's on a $100 antibiotic for a month.![]()
Quote: I'm sorry Rinda.
I Hope the purchase and sell finish up smoothly. I'm certain Kelly will take good care of hens. Enjoy the RV. and AWWW Tucker.
I hope you are feeling better Kelly.Quote:I'm sorry. It's always such a hard decision to make.Ugh. Apparently life is trying to one up me to you. I'm at the vet again having a cat euthanized. My kids are going to be heartbroken in the morning.
Tag you're it. I had food poisoning all night. Bad cashews apparently.
Well finally, good news. The buyer's agent did the final walk-through because the buyers weren't able to drive up. Our agent was there in our place. She just called and said it went well and they are good to go! So we close on the old place and close on the new place on Monday. Our stuff is being moved tomorrow and held for us until Monday when it will be delivered to the new place.
All the animals are in their new homes and doing well. The emus and goats are back together again! Jack and Diane have a new place with mules and donkeys next door to play with. They have lots of land and shade, which they love. Their new people are really glad to have them. Isi and his girls went to a lady who has been stalking me trying to get Icelandics. She was thrilled to take them all and I didn't have to worry about what would happen to Isi. Each rehoming was hard, but the donkeys were the worst. They went to a neighbor, so Michael was able to walk them over while I sobbed at home.
We were so lucky to have found good homes and not have to resort to Craigslist. Kelly will be caring for my old hens until the coop is ready. Then I'll take them back, along with a hen from my old Isbar flock. How awesome is that?
With the animals safe and sound we are settled back in the motor home in the RV park. We hope to be able to get it down the little lane at the new house and have tempory living quarters until the renovation is done. We will put our furniture in the house but have the RV as back-up. Oh, and we have a place for the wagon! I am so psyched about that.
I am resting tonight to get ready for the movers tomorrow. I have put in long, hard days getting to this point and I need a break. thanks for hanging in with me on a wild roller coaster ride. Now you guys just have to get me through the renovation!
Thanks so much Kelly. And, I am pigging out on pluots!
Thanks Mike. fast, yes! I saw the listing pop up two weeks ago today, got my granddaughter out of bed at 7:00 a.m. for a drive by. Called Michael to get out of bed and come see it, made an offer and we are closing on Monday. It needs a lot of work, emphasis on a lot, but in the end it is the most livable for us.
You are special Mary, I don't think Dar drops in on anyone else.
