Christmas is supposed to be Sunny and 55* here.

It's really nice to not have to worry about bad weather and not making it up to my sister's. She has been hosting Thanksgiving and Christmas for years, and this will be the last year as they are moving to Atlanta in June

Ohhhhhh, I love that dog!



I got 2 eggs yesterday and 3 eggs today! Got rid of 20 pullets and now I am getting eggs! 10 more girls will be going tomorrow.

Mike is getting around. He uses a walker, because he is terrible on crutches. He is still 'no weight bearing' on his broken ankle, and he returns to the doctor January 6. He is still having a problem with swelling (and that causes discomfort). He is suppose to move it around (exercise) 5 times a day, but I don't think he is doing it. He is a big baby. That really surprises me, too. He has never been a big baby like this. I am cracking down and being less available for him. He is completely capable of hopping into the kitchen and fixing his own snacks and getting a glass of tea. I make enough trips with caring for the boys.

Kathy, I think men are such wimps because they didn't have to endure monthly cramps & all that went with it. That would have toughened them up. Woman just tough it out

Kathy, tough love all the way! If he wants it bad enough, he'll get it and a little physical therapy at the same time.

Jason, love the San Clemente goats. I considered them at one time but decided we needed the amusement of fainting goats. Love the tail in the one picture.

I did all the food shopping for Christmas dinner this morning and have just been paying all day. I made this for dinner last night, but it was too late to take a photo. So today I made it again, just one serving, so I could get the shot. I am re-taking one of my photo video class and working on the "iconic" chicken dinner pose.

I am sure you are referring to the chicken leg and not the photo, right? Andrew Scivani, food photographer for the New York Times, said to do it that way. So I did. He says it is iconic. Can't argue with that!
