Just feeling crappy right now. We have been struggling with drawing customers into the store as there is very little walk-by traffic. Plus, we have to contend with grody loiterers. Last night I left a few minutes early because a drug bust was going on across the street. Took this from my front window. Then this morning I went to the shop to pick up paint. The woman that is moving out next door to us (with the clothing store) told me who our new neighbors would be. The guy who owns the Metro PCS store with all the loiterers is leasing the space to open a cafe/teen hangout for the 1500 high school students who walk past our door each day. They will sell nachos, hot dogs, drinks, etc, have tables for the kids to eat and listen to music! They will be open for lunch, after school, and on weekends. The school is open campus so the kids can leave for lunch and breaks. The kids are so hard to control that the high school has two men riding through town on golf carts yelling at them through megaphones and hauling them back to campus. We might as well lock the door and walk away.

Sorry but I can't help but laugh that there are two guys riding around town yelling at kids through a megaphone

Look what I got to snuggle today. Baby Theodore. Our 34th Grandchild. I know Diva has probably seen him in other threads..just sharing!

No, not a foster parent. My husband and I combined family. A, his, hers, and mine family. He had 7, I had 4, then we had one together. So, as old as we are now, we are getting a lot of grandbaby's, and, one great grandchild.

A surprise day for me. I haven't checked on my bees since I extracted honey. (still a bit wary of being stung again) I put the super back on for them to clean up, and forgot to take it back off. Well, today I decided to remove the empty super because it's time to treat the bees for mites. I got into the hive, and low and behold, the super is not empty.

They packed it full of honey, I'm assuming from the privet and star thistle that bloomed after I extracted. So now I have to set aside a day to extract honey......again.

I did a quick check under the super, and they have a lot of storage in the hive body, so I'll take the super honey. I also quickly checked on the other 2 hives and they are doing well also. But sheesh, I wasn't expecting this!

Wonderful, glad the hives are doing well and you are getting more honey!

gone a for couple of days to meet new granddaughter. Internet sucked, no cable and the direct tv receiver didn't work in the motorhome! So, I talked to Tucker all night!

grandbaby is sweet. i don't post pics online of kids that are not biologically related to me, but here are her feet!

Tucker cannot belive that he is not the center of attention!

Yay on the honey Kelly! and guess what? My lazy, good for nothing Welsummer stated laying again! for now she will avoid freezer camp. LOL, like any of mine have been eaten but dammit, lay eggs. I feed YOU don't i?
