Manuka honey is mostly famous for use in wound dressings, as it has antibacterial properties, and can treat infections that are resistant to antibiotics. I would love to get my hands on some to try it for that, but it is quite expensive, and rare in this country as it has to be imported.

ditto on the honey talk and photos! i love buying local honeys when we travel. there is a little roadside shop on the Pacific caost and they have so many different types of honey. they have them out for samples with pretzels for dipping. I could stand there all day!
