Stella's Social Club

They look GREAT, Mary! I have been wondering about them!

Thanks Guys. I am just so pleased with how they are looking. Miss Polaris II is just the most beautiful color. Here's a few more pics I took today.

The coops from the front. We are working on closing in the fronts due to the crowing. Michael changed it today after I took this pic so they look better. He put the boards inside behind the wire so the wire shows again. Looks much better.

The runs from the top of the hill. Notice how the wear pattern on the ground is different for each. The Isbars, far left, have raked almost all the dry grass to the front. They are going to have a muddy run unless the grass takes hold.

Jack and Diane's favorite spot in their 3.5 acre pasture. Can you see them on the opposite side of the emu fence?

Here they are!

Laverne and Shirley in their favorite spot. No, she's not dead.

Look at the path the emus have worn next to the fence. Both girls and Louis sleep up here and Stuart sleeps down below, nearer the road.

They seem quite happy and content in the new place. I just need to get them enrolled in school.

My cream legbar girls and the little cockerel I kept. They are so pretty. They always stay together and move as a unit. It is hysterical.

Icelandics

Poor pitiful molting Isi and two pretty blue girls.

Lukka's babies! All three are girls, right Kelly?

I promised Stella I wouldn't post pictures of her until after her molt but I just can't help myself.

Oh sorry Cooper. I hate that. I am still reeling from the loss of my sweet turkeys.

Mary

it just proves how good the icelandic roosters are. My Penedesenca rooster was in the coop with the girls meanwhile he was out Just a big pile of feathers. I am sure he died doing his job protecting the hens.

I think it was a hawk. I have seen a few Redtails around and not sure what else could of gotten in there. maybe a Bobcat but am sure he would of carried him away.

Great pictures, Mary! You have been working hard! It's all come together now. So glad to see Miss Stella is safe and sound, if not a bit raggedy. She will have beautiful new feathers very soon.

I will try to get pictures of my 4 chicks tomorrow. I believe 3 of the 4 are sprouting crests! All except the paint. I am just so darned excited about these. I can hardly wait to see them all grown!
