Went to let Bob, Irene &Stephanie out this morning. Everything seemed normal, we were having our usual morning conversations, and then, when I tossed a handful of scratch out all 3 ran toward it, except Steph was walking real low to the ground and sideways! (Like a crab would or a drunk person, almost running into walls!) I watched her...she didn’t “seem” like she was in pain and was doing her usual picking out all the good stuff as fast as she could! I DID notice she seemed to keep a sharp eye on Bob, and didn’t want to get too close to him. (He chooses HER every single morning and she doesn’t seem to enjoy it.) She has lost a lot of feathers due to Bob being SO much bigger than she, and sometimes Irene will do the pecking thing, which I intervene immediately! Anyway, (long story..sorry!) I wonder if she could have fallen off the roost last night, and hurt her leg or what? She’s not limping, just doing the “Limbo...Sideways” and in several different directions, until she gets where she wanted to be. I have her caged in my room, so I can watch her...seems fine..just dizzy. (Bet if she WAS drunk, I’d be from “Grain Alcohol”...(sorry...)

How old are they?
What do you normally feed, including all treats?
How much space do you have?

I would cut out the scratch for a while. Give Steph some poultry vitamins that have E, B1 and B2 or you can give her 400IU Vitamin E + 1/2 tablet B-Complex for a week to see if she improves. Egg would make a fine treat and help with the uptake of vitamin E.

If Bob is quite amorous and is keeping her from food - either she is timid to eat, harassed to the point she avoids feed stations, etc. then she may be lacking in vitamins.
Bob can always be separated to a pen to give the ladies a break, it won't kill him. I separate mine. He still sleeps with them, but spends most of the day right next to them in a separate pen. Some days I do rotate him in or a few girls are let in to visit.

excellent! When I got the 3 of them (used to be4, but stupid Coon...middle of the day! Grrrr) Anyway they were fully grown, and it’s been over a year. Honestly, they eat a lot of protein, but not the way a vet would want it. Fish, chicken, beef . Then a lot of corn, peas, and they love when I get them crickets or catch fresh Junebugs. I only give them scratch (just a small amount!)in the morning I guess just to keep Me on Bob’s good side..I’m lucky...I’m the only one he loves. During the day they free-range on about half acre. I won’t be able to buy vitamins until next week, unfortunately. I’m on disability and a set income. But I guarantee, they come before me!! Please give me any other insight! I don’t need to bandage? (No visible trams, except a little swelling and left foot is pointing inward.
