Richard Adams wrote a book called Maia that I read as a teenager after some surgery. If you have some down time you might enjoy it, it's very unique. And it's utterly HUGE. My personal favourite - Watership Down.Such a poignant tale of hardship and adventure that wild rabbits go through on a daily basis. I loved it, probably because I am a mother to ten giant lops
highly recommend though.
I sure love Salems Lot. I read it very young and it made me scared. For a long time.
