Sticky Baby

Today I had a baby hatch...It's a day early, and arrived sticky. Its dried off now, but a small bit of membrane & shell stuck to it's back..How should I remove it ?

Try a dry soft brush, a makeup or tooth brush, and gently brush the dried stuff off its fluff. You may need to coddle this one a bit, with extra nutritious food & vitamins. I've found the early sticky chicks to be more delicate & vulnerable, they don't often make it. Sorry. I hope this one beats the odds and thrives for you.

Thank you for the info, I will clean it up a bit. Seems to be very strong, but I will keep my fingers crossed.
