I just put the rest of my babies outside today and boy do they like it out there! I went out before dark to make sure they were all comfy and I noticed something weird.
One of my golden seabright cockerels was upside down and I could only see half of him... Fearing an animal somehow got in the coop already and killed him, my heart sank. I walked over to him and picked him up and realized he was still alive. He tried digging and squeezing under the dividing wall I have in the run to separate the adults from the babies. He got stuck upside down and was shaking badly. I held him in my shirt and buried the hole and made sure none of the others could do the same.
I let him warmup in my shirt for a bit and put him back inside in the brooder. I just checked on him and he is feeling much better! Luckily he wasn't stuck like that long, if he was there much longer I don't think he would've made it.
He seems very great full and loves to cuddle! I named him sticky an decided that I was gonna keep him
