How and why is the outside of my incubated egg sticky

Sounds like it's leaking and gone bad.
I would get rid of it, but that's me.

If the egg is oozing something it is no good...get it out asap before it explodes.

If it's oozing or sticky, it needs to get out of the incubator ASAP. Be extremely gentle handling it, it WILL explode. Might even want to turn a Ziploc bag inside out on your hand like a glove to pick it up.
Oozing means it's been dead awhile and bacteria has grown inside, and as they grow they release gas, basically making the egg a bomb. If you don't remove it, it will explode in the incubator soon and probably ruin the rest of your hatch. If you bump it as you remove it, it may explode in your hand. Very carefully get it outside and far away, you will NEVER forget the smell...
