Sticky Eye Symptoms in a hen - one just died

We've had 3 hens that we raised from chicks for about a year-and-a-half. Our barred rock died two nights ago after displaying some signs of weakness and stumbling around (though she still ate and drank every time I put food next to her). Now our barnevelder (who has been our healthiest and most sassy hen) began looking droopy this afternoon. She's not moving quickly and her eyes look sticky. (One blink causes her eyelids to stay closed for nearly a minute at a time). She didn't make it up to the highest roost tonight - just the first level.

Advice? Do these symptoms sound familiar? Any replies would be greatly appreciated!

Any sneezing, etc. ? Could possibly be a bad bag of feed - unless you've introduced a new bird to the flock I would not suspect the same three hens to suddenly show signs of disease, but it can happen.
