Thanks to you guys I found out it's a pullet. But does anyone know if this is a Plymouth Rock? She still doesn't have any bars a while after this was taken.

I know it doesn't even matter what breed she is, but I'm finding becoming a chicken enthusiast makes you want to learn everything you can about your flock.

I'm very new to this chicken thing. Is it possible to be a mix? I bought a few from a hatchery but this one came from a farm across the street. A boy has been trying his hand at hatching, so I got a few from him to support his efforts. They have Rhode Island Reds and Plymouth Rocks. I can post a more current pic tomorrow. She's a couple weeks older now.

Rhode Island Red rooster and Barred Plymouth Rock hen would make black sexlinks. Girls are solid black with gold or red feathers growing in around the neck as they mature.
