Still a red sex link?

My red sex link had recently began sprouting white feathers with red trim. What does that mean? I'll get a pic shortly.

Means she's molting by the sounds of it.

I'm still relatively new to this. My two red sex links are about 2.5 months old. One is just a red chicken. The other now is getting these pretty laced feather. I didn't know if that was normal for sex links.

I've had a few like that, with partial lacing. I remember I once had a very dark red one with clear white lace. As they are a hybrid, their genes are all over the place and some unexpected combinations can occur. With that said, if you share some photos, we can help confirm (or otherwise) that she is an RSL.

It's raining and I wasn't able to get a very good picture. The white spots on her neck are the feathers In talking about. The feathers are white in the middle with red around the edges.

They look good , as was said they are a variety of shades of red . Nothing to worry about

It’s just white leakage. Your bird is still a Red Sex Link.

I wasn't worried about anything. I was curious if the feed store told me the wrong breed. That has happened twice already.
