Still Can't Talk About it...but he is here!!!

contracts are only as good as the people who sign them...common sense rules all...I have raised orphaned puppies who had no mother or littermates and they were sensible, stable dogs...sometimes I think that 8 week rule is just silly...grump usually have the pups well weaned by that time and once they are weaned, it is not a big deal to move them on...I am putting on my flame retardant suit now for the militants...there are all sorts of hokey expectations from self appointed experts about darn near everything...I am 65 and have had dogs most of my life...currently I own 4...I did show, train, and breed over the years but do none of the above at this time...I have a boat lead of experience is this area...so I am not being flippant...

to the OP, buy the best dog food you can afford or what works for you...it is not a one size fits all world...socialize the pup and put in the training time and you will be just fine...

We were so excited over finding "the one" we completely forgot to take pics of the pup!!! They get their shots on Tuesday, and we'll get him Friday so he can have all weekend with us at home to get acclimated. We got puppy pads for when he is downstairs while we're at work and has his crate for downstairs all in order!

Went and took the puppy food back to the store and got the adult formula. Used the coupons and saved a huge amount. Really glad we found out about that on here and the books before feeding it.

Can't hardly wait to have him home! When we get him here and get everyone settled..photos galore!

Im really looking forward to pictures!! I think the important thing here now to address, instead of addressing pre-purchasing issues, is to support you in raising this puppy to his fullest potential. I'm here for you and really I'm living vicariously through you because I cannot have any puppy at this time, GSD or whatever. I'm hoping to have a human baby instead

(but still plan on a Beauceron...maybe GSD..yeah I am softening a bit on breed).

Photos are a must.

It sounds like you know what you are looking for in your source (ie. shelter, rehome, breeder in this case) and your puppy and future dog, which to me is a major component of finding the right match.

We have the puppy!!! He's adorable!

We've jumped around on names...from Hektor to Grumpy and finally landing on Kaiser.

He is already coming to his name and hasn't messed in the house yet! He did pass some worms (to be expected) but scarfed down his food like nothing else!

He's a little champ and LOVES our dogs and the cat. The cat wants to play...but is unsure! lol!
