Still confused!!! Boys or girls or a BO??? UPDATE PG 2

My DH is not happy about that. He wants to go have a word with the guy who sold them to us since this is the second rooster possibility. But I told him that chicks are hard to sex. There are a ton of farms around here so if they are to loud we can always find them a new home. I just love Nugget! So curious, smart and sweet. My marans are crazy and dont want anything to do with me. Nugget will come and hop up on me looking for meal worms.

Here are some updated pics taken yesterday 9/20

Are we still roosters???

My little black aussie is at 10-12 weeks old

My orpy is 15 ish weeks.

Oh that orp is going to have you guessing for a while. I want to say roo, but with no red around the eyes yet and the comb still so pink, I don't know. I think it looks pretty girlish overall.

Yes we will just have to see!

My buffy though is so hen shaped... like in the tail feathers and the breast and what not. It doesnt really have any other rooster tendencies like my little aussie. The black aussie is crazy, tenacious, tries to show dominance to the other girls even though he is 1/5 their size!

sigh...such blessings right

Agreed. Regardless of comb size, it just looks like a girl. Orps can really fool you sometimes. Oh and another thing, those feet and legs aren't what I'm used to seeing at that age on an Orp roo. Usually they get to looking like "Bigfoot." They may be bigger than the other breeds but then Orp legs *are* bigger than other breeds, even on pullets.

I'm still rooting for pullet. I could be wrong. LOL. It wouldn't be the first time, but I think the jury is still out on that one.
