Still don't roost

this is an old post but hope someone sees it. I too have 3 faverelles who huddle on the floor at night along with 3 silkies. Once in awhile one of the silkie roosters goes on the roost. I'm thinking now maybe I need to put more space between the wall and the roost. my question is, they won't use the nesting box, they just drop them wherever.inside outside, they don't care, never in the same spot. I've tried just a pile of straw,a box a enclosed box, a golf ball in it. nope nothing. any ideas?

my girls are from last spring's hatch. my pics aren't very good. first one is the roost it's about a 16" off the floor. there is a roof over them about 42" high. that's why the roost is so low. the nesting box is on the floor. it's 12"x12" square.View attachment 2000686 View attachment 2000686

More and better pics would help....but that roost looks too close to wall, should be about 12" away from wall.

I know, I suck at taking pics, plus they are stuck inside today and they kept trying to escape into the big pen! lol. thank you for responding. I will move the roost out.
