Still have ???s about crate training

By the way, I ALWAYS crate pups at night in the bedroom so they can absorb your odor at night. They can still smell you and that is bonding for a pup.

But you get to listen to them a lot at night.

It is definitely meant as a "during the day" guideline, though, and it's been so long since I had a baby puppy I don't remember when they start sleeping thru the night.

I read about it as a rule of thumb in some of my first dog training books 30 years ago, so maybe it is a bit out-of-date...but it's a convenient # that's easy to remember (which I need!)
