I would use Betadine or chlorhexidene (Hibiclens) to clean the wound since it has an odor. Do not use peroxide, since it damages tissue. It was fine to use it once, but it will prevent healing.

What are you cleaning the wound with? Is it kept clean in between cleanings?

I have been using hibiclens the past couple days. Cut some of the dead skin away. Soaking with mineral oil to soften up some more to cut away. Wrap it to keep her from pecking. She has lost her appetite. Offering a wide variety of food, but she is still drinking. Started torpedo feeding. Not sure what to do with wound other the clean daily an cut a at Dead skin. Is there some I can put into the wound to help the healing? Thanks

She woul arrange the feathers around wound after bath an treatment but I have her wrapped now.
