Still no eggs yet from my geese.

So I have 3 Toulouse geese, 1 is definitely a girl and one was supposed to be a girl but I’ve seen the 2 mating so, well you know. The 3rd is supposed to be a boy, but there is a small chance that it’s actually a girl. We also have 3 7 week old goslings that are confirmed to be 2 female 1 male but they are only 7 week so no eggs from them for a while. So yeah we don’t have a lot of confirmed genders but I know we have on girl. This late in spring, still no eggs, don’t feel like spring here. What’s going on? Give oyster shell grit, some food, but they mostly eat grass.

How old are the adult geese? Usually they will not begin to lay until about a year. As for seasons...well, here in West Texas it is usually Jan-Apr but this year they started in late Nov. The weather seems to play an important part in their laying cycle. Here they would lay on warm days and not on colder ones. So, if the weather is messed up where you live that could have something to do with it.

Oh they are WAY over a year. I think the girl may be 4 years!

My goose is now 8 yrs old she laid like gang busters for her first 2 yrs and then when she turned 3 she laid still but it wasn't as many, her 4th season she never laid one egg, I was very worried but she is healthy and they still do breeding season she just hasn't laid in 4 yrs now. Maybe your have laid out?

I just saw you have Toulouse that is what mine is. First year she laid she laid 40 eggs, second probably 30, 3rd maybe 20. none since.

I hope I am wrong about yours.
