They are pretty! I've never seen any chickens that colored before. I hope they aren't broilers.

My TSC didn't have any meat chicks, just laying breeds, for what it's worth. I'm in KY.

Thanks Andora. They are pretty, and so friendly due to being held all the time.

I am really thinking they look like NH or Red Sussex from the pics I've found. But after red broilers were mentioned, well they kinda favor them too. I need an expert "chicken identifier" right about now.LOL

R@ndy :

Kinda looks like my New Hampshire's

I'm really thinking NH right now.
Anymore people have an opinion. My poor babies have an idenity crisis!!

Those are buff columbian colouring, not red. The bottom photo is dominated by a cockerel.

I am pretty sure that Privett and Ideal are unrelated. Ideal is located in central Texas; Privett is located in New Mexico.

Would those be in assorted reds from Privett?? I just called my TSC and they told me that they should have all been either NHR or RIR. I just don't get it?

Ok,sonoran silkies....what kind of buff columbian??? Every pic I have found from searching,(google, etc.) doesn't look anything like my chickens?

They are just a bit darker than in the pics too,I don't know why my camera doesn't get the exact color,if that makes a difference.
