My heirlooms didn't do so well this year (I planted mostly Brandywine). I still have green tomatoes, but the moment they start to ripen, the chipmunks take a few bites and I can't bear to eat it since I just keep thinking of all the chipmunk saliva and drool that is probably inside the tomato... My basil on the other hand is out of control. I started cutting 8 inch stems and putting a bunch of them in a freezer bag. Pesto anyone?
