Louis is the brown bird, Jaina is the white one. They're 2 months old, pictures were taken today (11/1/12) We're still unsure if about their gender.

Jaina is rather quiet compared to Louis - even though she's more assertive. They still peep quite a bit. This morning I heard the most ridiculous sound come from Louis! It was hilarious!

At 2 months they look both to be cockerels.

At 5 weeks old, those two are definitely cockerels. The red one already has some hackle feathers coming in.

I bet the funny sound you heard was Louis trying to crow. It's the funniest sound ever before they get the hang of it.
