Our chickens are 21 weeks old now and still not one egg. I hate being patient.

Hang in there! My light brahma just started at about 22 weeks.

Silkies take even longer, sometimes... what breed(s) do you have?
Do they squat when you reach to pet them?

It's tough to wait for the first egg, but then one day it's sitting there and wow, it's a great thing! It will happen.

My oldest blue orps and blue wyandottes are almost 26 weeks and I'm still waiting too!

Ok, I don't feel so bad. Between me and my mom, we've got EEs, silkies, barred rocks, wyandottes, delawares, and faverolles. My friendliest/ craziest EE chases after me then squatts so I know there is hope. I've tried threatening them, but they laugh at me.

i feel your pain my ee is 7 months and no little green egg yet!

Mine are 20 or 21 weeks...no eggs. I try giving them pep talks, but it doesn't seem to be working.

At least I've got other hens laying so that helps.
