Still wondering if my Black Australorp if a hen or rooster is 9 weeks old

I had an Australorp name named Lucy a while back that looked like that and turned out to be a roo. I feel like at 9 weeks, your guys has a little too much development of the comb and wattles. Also the color is a little bit more red than I'd expect for a rooster. Or maybe she's just a little manly.

Either way, my vote is Roo. Keep us posted on your results!

It looks like a pullet to me too. Our australorp cockerels have enormous red combs and wattles by that age.

Looks like a pullet. I have had Australorps for 6 years now, and every year I always have a few I can never tell till they are a lot older.

So I have an Australorp mix, I am wandering why Bonobo has such a wired comb?? it isnt a rose comb it looks like a single comb but with out the crown??

jeffrey f, I'm leaning towards pullet on your Australorp chick. BellsCluckers, your rooster looks like he has a single comb that got severely frostbitten, making it lose all of its points.
