I eliminated my first ever stinker today. I think this is the 4th egg I've removed from this batch. How common are stinkers, and does this bode bad for the rest of the hatch? I'm finishing up day #13. There are 23 eggs left... I think.

In my bator with the LO's and Spangled Sussex I had a nasty Sussex egg. Wheew did it smell.. At first I thought the smell was because one of the others had cracked but, nope I held the egg to candle it was dark so I smelled it and it stunk. That was well before their lockdown and I hatched four LO's out of 6 set at lockdown and 1 of 2 sussex set.
Relatively speaking. I had started out 8 and 8 but, 2 LO's looked clear on lockdown, and I really think the lady whom I got the Sussex from over packed those eggs, because a couple were cracked, one was bad, and on lockdown day 3 were clear.

I hope I answered your question.
