Great thanks! Aviary is almost done. Just gotta assemble it!, what bout you? I think I might rethink winter! 16°c is too cold for me... Do U think it would be to cold for Gouldian?

It's 20 degrees here at 9.48AM and the Gouldians are just starting to nest.
But their avairy is very well protected from strong winds.
I did a perch refresh over the weekend - I do this every 3/4 months - just take out the poopiest perches and replace with fresh cut branches, old ones make good firewood if you have a fire, or just bin.
Only ever use home cut perches here.

MY backyard is full of trees. Do U think that will be enough?

Trees are good, but it is more the actual avairy.
Having more than 50% fully enclosed helps.
And/Or a corner that is enclosed like a mini shed, with only a big enough opening for you to get in and check on them.
Uhh I'm not sure but is this ok? Were going to put it together somewhere here,

As you are in north Qld nearish to the coast - if I am getting it right - but don't tell me.
Then you should probably be OK.
Can only suggest getting a pair - providing them with a log or box that is almost fully enclosed - e.g. small entrance hole and possibly a removable lid for inspection.
See how it goes, if all good after a year, maybe add a 2nd pair.
