We use it for swine/cattle/goats/chickens/ducks/turkeys. LOTS OF BANG for your buck.

My chicks and chickens get the same water from the same well that I do. I don't need electrolytes and neither do they.

If I need electrolytes, I mix my own. My chicks all get Poultry Nutri Drench. IMO, Sav-A-Chick is an overpriced product which is totally un-necessary.

I agree @lazy gardener , over priced, over applauded. My chicks wouldn't drink it, went with Nutri-Drench years ago and haven't looked back!

In a pinch if you can't get or don't know about poultry electrolytes Pedialyte is the best substitute in the "human" store. Less sugar and no artificial sweeteners which imho could cause more issues than the bird already has.

Got my first chick, and had been told all about Sav-a-Chick. It's not available here. I ordered some, and forgot to check the fine print on the shipping. It took three weeks to arrive.

Picked some of that up at the feed store in the meanwhile, and after getting the Sav-a-Chick and trying it out... I like the All Stock stuff better. I think my chicks do better on it, and they seem to like it a lot more. It does settle out a bit, makes for a nasty looking (Yellow soup) waterer, but the chicks loved it and thrived on it.

I agree. I just can't understand why some choose to waste money on Gatorade that's bad when the save chick is the same price. Both a dollar here.

My point is this: You can make your own electrolytes with ingredients found in every kitchen. It is free, and always available.
