So, I have just a slight problem. Hopefully not a big one. I hatched out 9 chicks on April 12, all are doing great besides one. This chick just stopped growing or feathering at all like 5 weeks ago. Her body is mostly feathered but she stopped right before her head feathered so she still needs the heat lamp. All the other chicks are about 4 times the size and fully feathered. Im keeping them in the brooder until I make a new coop or sell the chicks. Anyways, the other chicks aren't picking on her, she eats and drinks plenty, seems totally healthy. I have not seen any strange behavior, just completely, 100%, stopped growing. Any ideas?

Thank you!

(I can add pictures if needed)

Pictures would help. Any chance she might be a bantam?

Wow she is tiny. Have you given her any supplements? It might just be failure to thrive and from what I've read they typically die without intervention.

Mine seems more active today. I definitely think she had some kind of infection. I am hoping to continue to see improvement. Fingers crossed for your baby.
Ikr, I give a Nutri-drench type product a local breeder sells. Has worked great in the past. Ive had this with quail they just don't usually last this long! (even with supplements).

Oh good! thank you!
