So yeah. I have no idea how I managed to switch the days around but when my father came over the other day and commented that I had stopped turning the eggs and cranked up the humidity awfully early this time..
...
"DAAAAAH!"

So yup, I somehow managed to fail at counting days, so even though I thought they were going to hatch on the 29´th, they are actually due the 31´th, tomorrow. This has NEVER happened before.

I was wondering if someone else has tried this and if it means I just killed all my baby chicks after all this time in the incubator.
I feel so awful about it!

So you turned off the egg turner 2 days earlier? From what I read egg turning is not that critical toward the end of incubating period, so hopefully you're OK. Please update how it goes.

I will, thank you. I just hope the chicks are okay

Wonderful news! One of the chicks just made a hole in the shell!
I have not heard a single chirp out of them yet, so I had no idea the little fellow was working on the problem.
Hopefully this means the other chicks will start working their way out of the egg as well

24 hours later and still only one chick out of 8 eggs. I hope the last few hatch tomorrow..
