Stopped using nest boxes?

Nests look fine.
Maybe add higher fronts and use straw or hay instead of shavings...so it looks different than the floor bedding?
Not fond of curtains.
Not sure how handy you are, but I really like the 10" dia entrances to my nests,
helps keep bedding and egg inside and adds some 'enclozyness' to the nests.

Great - thank your as always @aart . I can certainly create an entrance for the boxes.

Can cold be a factor? It's an external nest box with shavings. The coop has about 5" of deep litter and is imagine it's much warmer than sitting in the nest boxes. Could it be that they prefer the warmth. The birds that are laying in the coop are the ones that didn't start laying before winter hit.

I suppose that's a possibility, especially if there are any drafts in the nests.
I'd probably stick a thermometer in a nest, then compare that temp to inside the coop.
Is your coop heated?
