Storage bin for feed and supplies

I need better storage for feed bags and other misc items in the coop. Some of my hens like to roost on bags and things that I would prefer to keep them away from. Has anyone constructed a box that works for this? I visualize a 3' box with a slanted lid so they won't roost on it. Does anyone have another idea or plans that you would share? thanks!

I keep my feed in a separate shed but what I've seen is people go out and buy outdoor coal bunks which allows them to keep feed out of the coop and dry from weather and mice and chickens
