Storage room in 8x6 coop

We offer help here, and I'm sorry if it wasn't the help you wanted. You asked about a storage room. My answer was going to be 'big enough to fit a trash can'. But hey, tell people trying to help not to, that works too.
Because that’s not the question i asked lol. But you decided to bring up this:
Yes. And rats can smell. And chew through wood. I agree, long term, this could end up being a rat nest. A metal can will solve this. But OP doesn't seem to want one.

No one asked anything about mice. I’m not stupid, I know mice *can* get in. There was absolutely no reason to be rude by saying “rat nest” LOL.

No one needed help with mice😂, i needed help with a storage room. No need to be rude because i said that’s not what i needed help with 🤷🏼🤷🤷🤷

About feed storage -- two 5-gallon buckets will hold 50 lbs. of feed, and I have found them to be very rodent-proof with the original lid snapped on.
A local food store where I live also gives away smaller buckets (that had contained olives) with snap-on lids, that hold about 10 lbs. of feed each, are also pretty rodent-proof, and are very convenient for feed. The buckets are stackable, and the lids come in different colors, which is good for color-coding different kinds of feed.

I wish we had feed stores around like that lol. We only have tractor supply. I would love those buckets

There are probablly food stores in your area that sell the same olives and other foods that these buckets were for originally, but they may just throw them out. Stores with a "bulk foods" section would be especially good to check. You could ask the help there, (or try "dumpster diving").
