I am soooo confused. After using my homemade styrofoam ice chest bator for years, I finally used my Christmas money to purchase a popular store bought one. Thinking I was in business now, I ordered eggs and discovered that this thing wouldn't hold temperature or humidity. I have had a very poor hatch. My old bator gave me atleast a 75% hatch every time. I'm disappointed and confused. I love the auto turner with the real one but hate the temp spikes and difficult/awkward way you have to add water (through the egg turner) for humidity. Am I the only one that has had this difficulty. I think I'm going to go back to my little styrofoam bator. It's more reliable.

Hi, and welcome to BYC!

Sorry, I can't give you any suggestions with your incubator but if you re-post your question in the 'Incubating and Hatching' section I'm sure loads of people will try to help you out. Good luck figuring out what's been going wrong with your hatches...

If I were you and I had that good of a hatch from a homemade bator....I'd stick with the homemade bator
