[Sonoran Silkies]

Go to americansilkiebantamclub.org and on the righthand side is a shifting series of photos of ASBC National Champions over the years. If you click on a bird, you can see additional photos for the particular show at which the bird won. Lots of VERY nice silkies.

Found some silkie pictures there. I saved a few of the "champion" or "reserved Champions" for pictures for comparing my birds as far as type. I printed the standard off the net for the silkies. Haven't found much about the hamburgs yet, but I am going to google search for champion pictures, which will at least tell me what they should look like. The standard doesn't seem to be on line. Any how, Saladine, the SPPA information arrived today. Lots of new reading to do!

I found a copy of the "Standard of Perfection" on line. It is from 1901, however. How would I know if it's information would be sufficent for silkies, and Hamburgs

The only way you would know is by comparing the 1901 with the new one. Generally, little will change; that said, sometimes those little things mean alot.

So I guess that brings me back to needing to buy a current standard! that pretty much brings me full circle, oh bother!
