I'm on my way to treating my chickens of scaly leg mites. But I'm curious if I can keep the leftover diluted permethrin? I've read that I can and that I can't. I'm making a gallon's worth but I definitely won't use it all. If I can't keep the leftovers, how do I dispose of it safely?

I don't know what it is about chemical safety booklets but they're near-impossible for me to understand, lol.

It takes a rocket scientist to read those instructions, and then they scratch their heads. I make just enough to use. However, I do use leftover spray around foundation of house, interior baseboards, ornmental flowers, inside coop walls and floor, run walls and floor. It helps with bugs and flies.

I can advise you safety data sheet - https://sdsmanager.com/, it will help you understand which chemical materials are safe to store, and in what quantity, so as not to endanger your life and the lives of others.
