storing eggs to be hatched

I've used both. Just someplace nice and cool, 60s temp and you will be fine. Try to tilt them acouple times a day......

Styrofoam is fine.

You want to keep them around 50 to 55F, large end up, and turn them once a day.

Turning them is as simple as propping one end up at 45 degrees, then reversing them.

They are on the kitchen counter, right beside my incubator.

I plugged in my incubator this morning, right now it reads 100.2 F and 40% humidity. So far, so good, right ??

How long should I let it "do it's thing" before I put in my first eggs ?

Thank you Miss Jayne, you are my new best friend ! Well, maybe right after Nadine. (Nadine was my first enabler !)

By the way Nadine, I spent most of the day in my garage/"chicken house" cleaning, packing stuff up and rearranging.....

Boom-Boom is "doing his thing", if you get my drift.

So, in a couple of days, I will have eggs in the incubator, and we will be grandparents of little boom-booms !
