We just hard a good rain here & lighting for a little while. Got some pics of the storm moving in. My MIL was freaking cause I was outside.
I'd be scared to death if tornadoes came this way. I lived up in northwest Ark. for about a yr. the weather up that way was wicked.
It was weird how the water looked green in some places.

Great pictures! Such a beautiful area where you live.

I've been meaning to ask...do you have alligators there or is that just in Florida?

Bayou - Yeah, and guess where I was? In a deer stand, thirty feet in the air when that hit. Great, right? Yeah. The sky was pretty though, I hated not having my camera, but at least I didn't. I'd have been out of a camera, as well as my phone [which got soaked

Angie N Maine - Yeah. We've got gators here.

I've got two in my pond.

I live in Northwest Arkansas and I can tell you that was one of the most scariest nights indeed. Tornado watches, warnings for surrounding counties and the lightening was unimaginable. I was quite alright til the sirens went off...I am seriously considering moving after that!:thun..I just moved down here too from Connecticut. I never saw anything like it in my life!

Hi Angie, yes we have them up here in north La.They have alot more further south. A lake not very far from us has a 7 footer, I've heard.I've never seen one in our bayou, not yet.

The waters green becuase the sky was a turquaise color, if the sky was blue the water would be blue.

Silkelovr, I wish our water was blue, but on a good day it's a nice shade of brown, lol. In the spring the water starts getting algae & a nice little hint of green to it.

Cool! I've never seen a alligator, but under the right circumstances, (like not in a little canoe) I think it'd be pretty neat to see one.

Those cypress trees bring back memories of my childhood growing up on Lake Houston...we had trees like that all around our water front! Thanks for sharing...and tweaking memories for me.
