waiting on my quail cage kit to arrive. in the meantime, im obsessing over geese, satinette pigeons, and zebra/society finches. when i get the qube set up i may try cohabitating the quail with finches or pigeons

Found a local-ish person with quail hens for sale who actually responds to emails. I’m 3 weeks out from being able to get them and I’m very excited! I also found a guy who sells handmade quail/rabbit hutches so I’m gonna grab one from him for an outdoor breeding flock at some point!
current set up is an indoor aquarium/tank with a bunch of hides

I have a newly raccoon-proofed hutch and two coturnix hens, tentatively named flapjack and waffle!

Flapjack had to go back because she was acting weird, maybe sick, so I have a new girl named pancake. Both quail are doing well! Neither laid eggs yesterday and I’m waiting to see for today
