I went to see it too. All my kids loved the book. I asked my 23 y/o son, what the heck was that?? I asked him if it was like the book, and he said sort of, but without all the sad and violent parts!

I mean, the kid BIT his mom!!! I really don't appreciate movies like that, especially if little ones are going to go see it! I thought it was strange at best.
