Angelina glanced at him. She let her eyes linger on the boy for a few moments, curiosity rising up ever so slowly in her.
She stopped next to the bench. Suddenly, she decided to sit down on the bench as well. She sat rigidly, with her back straight up against the back of the bench. Cars rolled by, sending small waves of water onto the sidewalk. Car after car, wave after wave. Just another day... Angelina thought to herself, letting herself relax a little. She glanced over to the boy after several minutes of quiet. Now that she thought about it, she noticed a stresses out air surrounding him, unlike the many people who passed by quickly.

The boy moved slightly as water rushed across the sidewalk, soaking his sneakers which were filled with holes. He looked up, and noticed Angelina. His eyes lit up with surprise and his head flew up the rest of the way, his hood flying back to reveal his startlingly silver hair. If it hadn't been for his youthful face someone might have mistaken him for being an old man. He blinked several times, the surprise at seeing her suddenly there disappearing a little bit with each blink. "Hello..." He stammered, still slightly flustered at haven't noticing her there.

"Oh, uh, h-hello." She stuttered. She answered quickly, before looking down at her hands.
The boy continued looked at her, the surprise slowly fading and leaving a pleasant smile behind. He didn't bother putting his hood back up as his hair was already soaked from the rain, sending small rivulets of water down his face. "I'm Elijah." He unknotted his hands and held one out to her. The red marks from the fingers on his other hand still visible across his palm. "Elijah Carstairs."
