Cassie couldn't believe it. She got up and walked up to Mai's hut and started banging on her door. "MAI YOU BETTER LISTEN TO ME RIGHT NOW!!!!! YOUR SISTER LOVES YOU!!!! IF SHE DIDN'T, WHY WOULDN'T SHE HAVE LEFT YOU WITH A CRAZY UNCLE OR SOMETHING???!!! ASK HER!! SHE'LL TELL YOU SHE LOVES YOU!!!" Cass gave Bai a look that says "you better". Cass crumpled, sobbing. All her pent up emotions about Helen exploded, turning her into a uncontrolled sobbing mess.


Blake woke because of all the shouting. "Whats going on?" he mumbled, still sleepy. He saw Cass on the ground. He knelt down to comfort her, patting her back.

Mai looked up furious. She took the only good arrow out of the wall. She aimed it at the door where she thought Cassie's head would be, then shot. The door was so thin that the whole blade portion went through the door. She crumpled to the ground and silently cried.

Cassie looked up at where her head would be. She cried out. "So thats it?" she shouted, "You would kill me just like that?" She got up, broke the arrow in half and walked into the woods softly crying.

Blake took the two halves of the arrow and shoved them under the door. He walked away not saying anything. He nodded at Bai and washed his face and took a drink at the spring. He went to his hut and got his bow and arrows and his knife. He walked off into the woods to hunt.
