strange acting rooster

I have a young rooster that will sometimes spin around in a circle while trying reach his tail with his head .
does anyone know why he would do this?

Could he be attempting to attract the females? Does he put a wing down while he is doing it?

I'm not completely sure, the times I have seen him do I've been inside watching from the window , but it looks like he does put one wing down .I never thought he was trying to impress a hen.
Have you ever seen a rooster do this?

My rooster shuffles and puts one wing down and goes in a circle...he does not wrap his head back to his tail he looks at the hen. Mine is courting behavior.....sounds like yours may also maybe trying to attract the girls!

One of my roosters puts his wings down and goes in circles, he usually looking at the ladies though!

Ours used to do that too - he looked like he was trying to do the Tango!
I think it's a way to intimidate possible threats and at the same time impress the ladies

how old were yours when they did it because mine is about 5 months old just started crowing about three weeks ago

Sounds about right...mine might have been a little older but Araucana mature pretty slow.
