I wasn't quite sure where to put this...

I have a flock of 9, half are a year old and half are three. One of the three year old formerly very friendly hens who would follow you around has been very strange for maybe, 3 weeks ? now.

She has never been one to sit on eggs but I have literally not seen her out of a nesting box unless I remove her. There may or may not be eggs in whichever box she chooses. She often has her beak open panting, though, it's been very hot. She has lost weight, she will eat if I get her down but she eats angrily and with strange behavior, not efficiency and she is MAD at the other hens. She has always been a happy bird but she is constantly making angry sounds and if I get her down to make sure she eats even a few pecks she does so angrily. It's really strange and hard to describe.

She looks a little pale and disheveled but all she does is sits in a nesting box. I have no idea what this could be?

They were dewormed with Ivermectrin during the winter and Safeguard early spring.

Wow! That sounds like her thanks! I had no idea, we've had chickens for years and not had one that will do this. OK- we will try to rig something up to do this.
We have a 10x10 dog coop in the grass with a half roof currently not being used - would it work to put her in there with no nest box or should we make a rabbit hutch type situation? I'm not sure my husband can build one until this weekend.

Just moving her from the nesting boxes will help , I don’t hang mine in the air ,just move them into a dog crate on the grass, I give them a skinny roost because then their butt hangs off and gets cooled off .her hormones need to get back to normal before you put her back , make her scrambled eggs with Feed mixed in.... good luck

Kennel could work.
I use a wire dig crate with tray removed and 1x2 cage wire installed in bottom.

Sometimes I raise it and sometimes I just put it on the grass if it's really hot and I can't keep it in the coop and will add a frozen liter water bottle too.
