Those birds were Red, Duckwings correct?I have white chicks pop up in my pheonix flock. So far I've had 5 survive and all 5 are female, from different moms. But every clutch gives me a new color anyways

As long as it's Hatchery Orp X Hatchery Orp, it'll still be pure Hatchery Orp.I wouldn't trust much from a hatchery to be my standard of pure anymore.
Who knows anymore. The person I got them from said they were golden Duckwing and that's what the breeder they got them from had told them, but I don't know anymore. I've gotten gingers, blondes, whites, reds, ad well as others that apparently don't have namesThose birds were Red, Duckwings correct?

No, I only have what were called gold duckwings and what they've hatched outGold Duckwings, thanks for the clarification.
Those are some odd colors to get out of those specific birds.
Have you crossed Gold Duckwings, to Red Duckwings, & gotten similar results?
These? No, I only have what were called gold duckwings and what they've hatched out
That's what some of the females look like. My original 3 and occasionally a daughter of theirs. Every other female though is different looking than thatThese?
View attachment 2780524View attachment 2780526I think they're Autosomal Red, since hens occasionally have the Golden color in their hackles like the males. Silver is what's used the create the Golden color.
Different as in having silver hackles, or some other color? That's what some of the females look like. My original 3 and occasionally a daughter of theirs. Every other female though is different looking than that
Different hackles, different body feathers, different body father patterns.Different as in having silver hackles, or some other color?
I know you mentioned white, so they maybe carrying Recessive white. So, your birds may have a great Grandpa, or Grandma that was recessive white.
Oh, okay.Different hackles, different body feathers, different body father patterns.
