Strange cochin color? More updates! Pics!

OK- here she is a couple weeks later. She's so odd looking.

What a fun surprise! The coloring appears a bit more random than mottling would. I would guess a Splash, but with a darker base color than the usual white.
I dont think there are terms to tell from Splash to say, Blue Splash, its all just Splash. Although, I have two Ameraucanas that are Blue with blue flecks and I call them Blue Splash just for telling the difference from the white ones.

Not sure if it will end up being mottled or not, it looks like it's feathering in to be a very dark blue. From my experience the mottled feathers will show up later when they start getting their adult feathers in. I hope she does end up blue mottled, it's sure a beautiful color. I'm attaching a photo of a very young bantam blue mottled, you can see she has a very white bib in front, that always indicates to me a bird that will feather out with mottled feathers. I'm also attaching a photo of her as a young pullet, they will aquire more mottled feathers as they age, so the older they get the more white tipped feathers they will have

This 4m pullet was hatched from her birds. She's now a year and the pattern has evened out after molting.

I think she's going to be BLACK! Maybe a really really dark blue- but look at her head feathers coming in. I was hoping for a mottled- but I don't think I've ever seen one in standard size.

This bird continues to amaze me. Now she looks "black laced blue". Or is it just really thick/dark lacing? Anyway- I promised some updated pics. Here she is:
